Hurrah! After taking the summer off to tend to the little ones, the Duchess of Cambridge is ready for her close-up.
Today, Catherine and Prince William joined Prince Charles for Sunday prayers at Crathie Kirk, on the property of Balmoral Castle. Catherine wore her burgundy Hobbs coat, according to What Kate Wore, an item that made its first appearance in February 2012
The Cambridge family are on holiday up in Scotland, and dined with the Queen when she broke a record on September 9th, becoming the longest-reigning monarch in British history.
The Daily Express reports that William, Catherine, Prince George and Princess Charlotte borrowed the Duke of Westminster’s $12 million private jet for the two-hour flight.
“There were three cars waiting on the Tarmac for them as they landed,” an onlooker told the paper. “William and Kate got in one car with Prince George and then Charlotte, who was carried in a car seat, went in another car with the nanny. They had quite a few bodyguards with them.”
On September 17th, Catherine will undertake her first solo engagement since Charlotte’s birth; she’ll visit the Anna Freud Centre in London regarding children’s and young people’s mental health care.
The next day, Catherine will join William and Prince Harry for the Rugby World Cup opening ceremony.
The last time Catherine got a “fringe” – what the Brits call bangs – she was just a few months pregnant with Prince George.
This summer, Catherine’s been the subject of gossip after (at the last minute) she decided not to attend Bear McClean’s August wedding. Instead, Pippa Middleton took her place.
Star Magazine (and a slew of other glossies) decided that things were too quiet and claimed that Catherine was pregnant with the couple’s third child.
We have fun.
