Oh, Margot Robbie. Gurl, we have so much to discuss.
The Australian (who is clearly not a monarchist, if the video below proves anything) appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon March 1st to promote her new movie, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.
Fallon likes to per-interview his guests before the show in an effort to find something interesting to talk about on air.
It just so happened that Robbie had a very entertaining story about a certain royal.
In early February, The Sun reported on a knees-up Prince Harry attended back in December, hosted by Suki Waterhouse. A party-goer had supposedly Instagram a pic of Waterhouse, Robbie, Sienna Miller, Princess Eugenie and Harry in a photobooth.
It turns out that Waterhouse was having a housewarming party, so Fallon asked Robbie to regale viewers with her Harry encounter.
“So, somebody answers the door [to Suki’s house], right?” Fallon asked, baiting a sheepish Robbie.
“Someone was holding the door and I was kinda like, ‘oh can I help you?’ and he’s like ‘oh yeah! thanks,'” Robbie explained.
“Then I dropped something and he helped me find it. And then I was like, ‘Oh are you going in here?’ and he was like, ‘Yeah’ and I was like ‘oh cool, me too.’
“He was really nice,” she said.
“It turns out, it’s Prince Harry,” Fallon pointed out, wanting so badly for Robbie to say more.
“Yes, um…”Robbie said, giggling.
“You don’t know who Prince Harry is?” Fallon ribbed her. “He’s the coolest!”
Robbie defense? He wasn’t wearing a “crown,” so how was she to know?
“When I saw him in those glasses [in the photobooth] I was like ‘Ohmy god, I didn’t know Ed Sheeran was at the party!” Robbie said.
The prince was not amused.
“He [Harry] got really offended,” Robbie admitted. “He’s like ‘shut up.'”
Smooth, Robbie. Reaaaaal smooth.
