Today Kensington Palace shared a photo of the Duchess of Cambridge getting her first COVID-19 vaccine. Looking like an off-duty, casual Queen Consort-in-waiting, Kate wore her hair down and sported an outfit that reminded me of my middle school days — ribbed scoop neck fitted shirt with high-wasted jeans (something one might find in the now-shuttered Contempo Casuals or Wet Seal). Someone looks refreshed and energized now that her children are back in school.
Kidding. Kind of. Her skin looks incredible and her hair is ever so bouncy and luminous. And that Alexander McQueen tuxedo jacket. *chef’s kiss*
In a video shot at the Natural History Museum (of which she is patron), the Duchess of Cambridge promoted the 2020 Wildlife Photographer of the Year awards, which will be held virtually for the first time. Her Royal Highness will announce the winner tomorrow night from the museum; I’m really hoping we’ll see her in a dress. [Read more…]
The Duchess of Cambridge mixes up her jewelry; sometimes she’ll buy reasonably-priced pieces that the everyday girl can afford and sometimes she does the royal thing and wears something from the Queen’s private collection. That’s the magic of Kate, my friends. Below are some ways to replicate.
Reception in Pakistan, October 2019
Kate wore O’Nitaa statement earrings with her Jenny Packham gown during a reception in Islambad.
Last Friday’s premiere of “Emily in Paris” on Netflix might have been nothing like Kate’s royal trip to the city of lights in 2017 (for one, I don’t think Patricia Fields, the show’s costume designer, edited HRH’s wardrobe).
And yet, here I am flipping through a few of Kate’s looks and thinking how, like any woman, excited she must have been to wear Chanel while carrying Chanel in the city where Chanel made Chanel. [Read more…]
For the first time in over six months, a royal event took place at Buckingham Palace. On behalf of the Queen, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge greeted with President Volodymyr Zelensky and his wife, Olena in the palace’s Throne Room.
Good evening and welcome to the ninth anniversary of the best day of my life. There was never a time in recent history as magnificent as that Friday, when Catherine Elizabeth Middleton walked gracefully through a tented tunnel that connected the Goring Hotel to a waiting Rolls Royce — nay — a page in British history.
The soon-to-be former commoner sat next to her father, Michael as she waved to throngs of screaming well-wishers before arriving at Westminster Abbey’s west door. As she stepped out of the vehicle, the House of Alexander McQueen confirmed that their creative director, Sarah Burton, had designed the future Queen Consort’s wedding gown. [Read more…]
You know what’s strange? I didn’t love Kate Middleton’s Eponine dress last night, but I was totally into her head-to-toe green sports outfit today. I can’t explain why. Sometimes we’re drawn to weird things. One of my Twitter friends, Suzy Q, called Kate’s culottes “Sportspants” and henceforth they shall be referred to as such. [Read more…]
While the Cambridge kids were likely on their 600th screening of “Frozen 2” back at the palace, William and Kate took in a special performance of “Dear Evan Hansen” at the Noel Coward Theater in aid of The Royal Foundation. The couple are heavily involved in organizations that focus on mental health, which is why they chose to watch the play. [Read more…]
*GASP* Who dareth lay a handeth on thine anointed hair, which doth not quit.
Just kidding. It’s really nice of the Duchess of Cambridge to let anyone run their hands over her hair/pet her head like this little girl did in Dundeed, Scotland back in January, 2019. She’s got the patience of a saint, that Kate.
“Wow, my mum was right. It’s really, really nice. Is your shampoo from one of those posh places in Disney World? Like, where Belle shops?” [Read more…]
Watching live CTV coverage of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s arrival in Victoria, Canada was exciting AF.
Sure, it was a little less exciting than their inaugural visit back in 2011, when the newlyweds – nay – everyone was basking in a post-royal wedding glow.
Fast forward five years, and there are two kids added into the mix. [Read more…]
