Did we have fun this year or what? Let’s look back on the royal year that was:
Catherine called on one of her favorite designers, Jenny Packham to create this baby blue backless creation with an encrusted waist.
Oh, and that up do. What does a girl need to ingest to get hair like that?
Her Royal Highness borrowed a pair of Robinson Pelham diamond, blue topaz and white gold earrings ($21,000) from her mother, Carole, who first wore them to the royal wedding’s evening reception.
The young royal reminded many of his dad at the service, held at St. Mary Magdalene Church (on granny’s Sandringham estate
George’s Rachel Riley smocked red and white short set was reminiscent of the outfit his father wore to meet his newborn brother, Prince Harry for the first time.
The family of four walked together into the church, with Catherine pushing Charlotte in the Millson pram, used by the Queen for Princes Andrew and Edward when they were babies.
George didn’t give two figs about the history around him. THIS IS FOR THE BIRDS!
George Has a Blast at The Polo
The young prince was the star of the show at the Festival of Polo in Gloucestershire in June, where he hung out with the Prince of Wales, Zara Phillips and her daughter, Mia.
Prince Harry’s Tour Down Under
Prince Harry finished his army career with a tour of Australia and New Zealand in May, and it was a rousing success.
He field marriage proposals, accepted gifts from well-wishers, ordered burgers like any regular bloke, and came in second during trivia night at a New Zealand quiz (Harry’s bodyguards beat his team, the “Ginger Ninjas”).
William and Catherine Have a Cuddle at Rugby
It was the World Cup, and these two crazy kids were reminded of old times.
Prince Philip Is NOT Amused
Quite possibly my favorite moment of 2015 was when Prince Philip got fed up with the lolly-gagging and insisted the photographer stop d**king around TAKE THE F–KING PHOTOGRAPH.

Prince William and Queen Elizabeth at the Festival of Remembrance
William and Catherine joined many of the royals at the annual Festival of Remembrance, a beautiful event filled with music and tributes to members of the armed forces.
Monarch and heir shared a laugh that did not go unnoticed by royal watchers.
A Princess is Born!
Her Royal Highness, Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge was born on May 2nd 8:34am local time.
Charlotte weighed 8 lbs 3 oz at the time of her birth. The announced, per tradition, was posted at the gates of Buckingham Palace.
Charlotte wore a soft wool bonnet for her journey home to Kensington Palace, a gift from Nanny Maria Borrallo’s mother.
The Queen Reaches a Milestone
On September 9th, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second became the longest-reigning British monarch in history.
By 5:30pm local time, Elizabeth had surpassed her great-great grandmother, Queen Victoria, but undertook a engagement in Edinburgh that day as if it were business as usual.
Her Majesty believed that reaching the milestone was “not one to which” she had “ever aspired to,” but nonetheless, she thanked those for their well-wishes.
Later that day, the Queen spent time with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Princess Charlotte Is ready for her close-up
The Duchess of Cambridge shot two photos of her daughter, who at the time was just over six months old.
Catherine Dons A Tiara
Her Royal Highness attended her first state dinner in a red Jenny Packham gown and sporting the Lotus tiara, which once belonged to the Queen Mother.
Catherine wore the same tiara to a diplomatic reception in 2013.
On December 8th, Catherine wore the Cambridge Lover’s Knot Tiara to this year’s diplomatic reception. The tiara was made for Queen Mary and wore by Elizabeth II, who then lent it to the late Princess of Wales on several occasions.
George’s First Trooping of the Colour
For this special occasion, George wore a baby blue outfit that his father donned at the 1984 Trooping of the Colour.
While the parade happened, a jovial George watched with Maria Borrallo.
Merry Christmas! Love The Cambridges
It was perhaps the most darling photo of this “family of four” to date, with George running around as William kept a watchful eve, and Charlotte held by mum with her shoe on the ground in front of her.
What was your favorite moment from this year?
As we close out 2015, I want to thank everyone for reading The Duchess Diary and making it a pleasure for me to write story after story.
