You know what’s strange? I didn’t love Kate Middleton’s Eponine dress last night, but I was totally into her head-to-toe green sports outfit today. I can’t explain why. Sometimes we’re drawn to weird things. One of my Twitter friends, Suzy Q, called Kate’s culottes “Sportspants” and henceforth they shall be referred to as such.
Today’s engagement celebrated the role that parents and guardians play in the success of young athletes who participate in SportsAid, which supports young athletes with financial aid and anything else they need as they work to achieve their goals. Past beneficiaries of the program include Olympians like Jessica Ennis-Hill (who was at today’s event), Mo Farrah and Bradley Wiggins. Kate has been patron of the organization since 2013.
HRH’s look today was quite polarizing, but like I said, you can’t fight looks that you fall in love with.
