On December 10th, 2014, Princess Gabriella of Monaco, Countess of Carladès was born at the Princess Grace Hospital, named after her paternal grandmother.
Two minutes later, her brother, Jacques did the ole’ “leapfrog” and became the Hereditary Prince of Monaco, and will one day inherit the throne from his father, Prince Albert II.
Because to primogeniture (which was done away with in other royal households like Sweden and Great Britain), Jacques outranks Gabriella by virtue of being a male, despite her being older.

Princess Margaret was Queen Elizabeth’s younger sister and the second daughter of King George VI. Her Royal Highness’ presence was arguably as commanding (and intimidating) as Her Majesty’s. Margaret’s life was filled with flash and excitement, and she ran with a very trendy set of people. The stories of her jewelry are almost as interesting as the life she led.

The Prince’s Palace of Monaco released a video on Facebook of Prince Albert and Princess Charlene with their one-year-old twins, Jacques and Gabriella.

Yesterday, Buckingham Palace announced that the Queen made Prince Harry a Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order (KCVO) during a private ceremony.
The Royal Victorian Order is given by The Queen to people who have served her or the Monarchy in a personal way, and can only be gifted by the Sovereign.
Now that Harry has been knighted, many are confused about his position in the royal family. I asked royal commentator Victoria Arbiter to clear up any confusion regarding the prince and his well-deserved accolade.
