On day 2 of China’s State Visit, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcomed President Xi Jinping and First Lady Peng Liyuan to Lancaster House, where a showcase highlighting creative ties between the two countries awaited them.
Catherine, for the most part, usually plays it safe when it comes to her public wardrobe, so imagine my delight when I discovered she was wearing Dolce & Gabbana’s hi-neck dress, made of guipure lace.
Catherine’s a gal who loves her lace (who can blame her?), but the make of a Dolce & Gabbana lace number is second to none, in my book. The attention to detail and the way the lace fits a woman (regardless of her shape) is what makes this Italian label a favorite.

William and Catherine accompanied their official guests through exhibits of the UK’s most popular television programs, and spoke with stars like Jackie Chan (who happily took selfies with fans, according to The Mirror‘s Victoria Murphy. Vurrry unroyal).

The Cambridge’s next event is Monday, October 26th; They’ll join Prince Harry at the world premiere of Spectre in aid of the Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund at the Royal Albert Hall. That day, the royals will also join children from the charities they support at a creative industries-themed Charities Forum event, hosted by BAFTA and Aardman.
