Princess Beatrice Is Hot-To-Trot at ‘Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty’ Exhibit

While I’m disappointed not to see a fallopian-tube-toilet-seat hat, I have to hand it to Princess Beatrice for bringing her A-Game to the exhibit opening of Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty at the Victoria & Albert museum tonight.

McQueen passed away in February 2011, though his legacy is carried on and honored through the work of his successor, Sarah Burton, a favorite of Duchess of Cambridge.

“Lee [McQueen’s nickname] was a genius and a true visionary who pushed boundaries, challenged and inspired,’ Burton said, according to the Daily Mail.  “He believed in creativity and innovation and his talent was limitless.

“Savage Beauty is a celebration of the most imaginative and talented designer of our time.”

The blood royal was joined by friend Cressida Bonas, Colin Firth, Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Salma Hayek, David & Victoria Beckham, Laura Carmichael, Beth Ditto, Rupert Friend, and photographer Mario Testino inside the museum.

Bea’s sleeveless tuxedo gown is, I believe, a McQueen creation, but I’ve yet to confirm this detail.  It looks like a longer, more tailored version of the McQ item below, but stay tuned.

These Jimmy Choos closely resemble her footwear (again, not confirmed, but they look similar to the photos):

I asked royal jewel expert Ella Kay if the princess’ hair piece was from the Windsor’s collection, but alas, zoom isn’t working on Getty…yet.

@TheDuchessDiary It looks like costume jewelry to me (judging from this relatively far-away picture, anyway).

The Princess recently quit her job as a coordinating producer at Sony Pictures in London and is reportedly taking finance classes in the states, according to the Daily Express.
