Most Wanted: Kate Middleton’s Sandstorm Kenya Bag

Last Friday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge returned from a trip to Norfolk, England, where they are overseeing renovations to their country home, Anmer Hall.  The lead photo is one of Kate from the 2005 Gatcombe Park Festival of British Eventing, but I chose it because COUNTRY LIFE!

The Georgian home, situated on the Queen’s Sandringham estate, was a 30th birthday gift to William from Her Majesty.

According to the Daily Mirror, William and Catherine arrived at King’s Cross train station in London, where Catherine was seen carrying Sandstorm Kenya’s “Odyssey” bag (about $406).

According to My Small Obsessions (you really must follow this account; the author has a fantastic eye for detail), Catherine used this bag while on tour in New Zealand and Australia in April.  MSO also reports that the brand gifted the couple with the weekend bag after they got engaged in Kenya in October 2010.

While in Norfolk, William and Catherine grabbed dinner nearby at the Kings Head Hotel.  The Duchess sipped on a white wine spritzer, and the couple both had  fillet of black bream, followed by an ice cream sundae (with two spoons).

“William was extremely affectionate and considerate towards Kate throughout. She walked in with wet hair,” a source told Camilla Tominey of the Daily Express.  “She kept playing with it, twisting it around her fingers while talking to him. They were quite flirtatious and couldn’t keep their hands off each other.

“When they had finished their meal, a couple of locals came up to them and said hello,” the source added.  “They smiled and were very chatty, very accommodating. My overwhelming feeling was how normal they were. They just seemed happy to mix with the locals.”

On September 8th, Their Royal Highnesses will open the Dickson Poon University of Oxford China Centre Building.
