Kate Middleton’s Best Jenny Packham Looks

Highlighting on one of Catherine’s favorite designers, Jenny Packham.

It was just over a month after their wedding when the newly titled Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived at the ARK 10th anniversary gala. HRH would wear it again at an EACH gala in June 2016.

Fans recognized the piece immediately, since it was first worn by Leighton Meester on the sixth season of Gossip Girl.  Catherine paired the F/W 2011 gown with pale pink bow heels from LK Bennett, and displayed a blowout that would make angels weep.

The Tusk Conservation Awards at The Royal Society on September 12, 2013 in London. I remember following What Kate Wore closely to find out who made the gown and if it was an off-the-rack number. Since this was Catherine’s first gala outing post-birth, fans were very excited about the sparkly creation, which we discovered with custom-made.

This ink blue beauty was first worn to a 100 Women in Hedge Funds dinner in aid of Action on Addiction on October 24th, 2013, just one day after Prince George was christened at St. James’s Palace.

In true Catherine fashion, the gown made another appearance, this time at The Portrait Gala 2014: Collecting To Inspire at National Portrait Gallery on February 11, 2014 in London.  Catherine borrowed the stunning “Nizam of Hyberadad” necklace from the Queen, who received it as a gift in 1947.

One more time!  Hand-in-hand with her prince, a pregnant Catherine left St. Andrews 600th Anniversary Dinner at Metropolitan Museum of Art on December 9, 2014 in New York City.  Those earrings, amiright? Kensington Palace wouldn’t comment on them, which probably means they were a “private gift.”

Catherine won rave reviews for this bespoke dress, since it featured the New Zealand fern, the country’s nation emblem.  She and Prince William unveiled a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by New Zealand artist Nick Cuthell (not pictured) at a state reception at Government House in Wellington on April 10, 2014.

After her second bout of severe morning sickness, Catherine returned to her royal duties. On October 24th, 2014, she attended the Wildlife Photographer of The Year 2014 Awards Ceremony in London, once again wearing those darling bow heels from LK Bennett.

A Bespoke gown for the Chinese state banquet at Buckingham Palace on October 20th, 2015.  Designer Elizabeth Emanuel told People Magazine that Catherine aptly chose red for the occasion.  “Red is very important as a statement in itself as it matches the color of the Chinese flag and it means good fortune,” Emanuel explained.

At the world premiere of “Spectre” in October 2015.

Introducing Prince Louis to the world after his April 2018 birth inside St. Mary’s Lindo wing. The color of Kate’s dress was a nod to the red and white flag of St. George, on whose day Louis was born.

At the 2018 Diplomatic Corps reception at Buckingham Palace. She topped off the white-tie look with the Lover’s Knot tiara.

At a special reception hosted by the British High Commissioner Thomas Drew, at the Pakistan National Monument, in October 2019.
