Back in July, People reported that Coldplay frontman Chris Martin would compose the official anthem for the Invictus Games opening ceremony September 10th.

“Finished the song with W01 Gary Chilton, Cpl Bug John Sumner RM & Cpl Matt Walker just in time for #InvictusGames. CM,” Martin tweeted on September 6th from Coldplay’s Twitter account.

The Games will showcase sports competitions involving 400 wounded servicemen and women from around the world.  The opening ceremony will be produced by Kim Gavin, who was the creative director of the 2012 Olympics Closing Ceremony.

The eve-of-games show will appeal to people who like events like the Trooping of the Colour, insiders say, with bands from the Royal Marines, Royal Air Force and Army participating,” according to People.  “There will also be a flyover by the Red Arrows.”

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, as well as the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall will attend Wednesday’s Opening Ceremony, according to British Royals.

The games, put on by the Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry and sponsored by Jaguar Land Rover, will take place in Olympic Park from September 10th-September 14th.
