What a splendid treat it was to see His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge at RAF Fairford on Friday.

The Duchess of Cambridge (in a Stella McCartney blue dress and Smythe blazer) and Prince William surprised the crowds by bringing along the 2-year-old (who turns three on July 22nd).

Yes, there was a minor meltdown at the beginning, but things improved greatly once George was shown aircrafts. [Read more…]

Prince George Is Already Playing Tennis, Might Be A Lefty

She’s been a fan of the sport for years, so it comes as no surprise that the Duchess of Cambridge has already put a tennis racket in her son’s hands.

At Wimbledon today, Catherine spoke spoke with former British tennis player Greg Rusedski about getting Prince George involved in the game.

“She talked about George, her little boy, playing tennis,” Rusedski said, according to the Telegraph.

Sweden’s Prince Oscar Gets Christened, Royal Kids Steal the Show

Every time a Swedish royal gives birth, I eagerly await the blessed child’s christening, as it’s chock full of footage featuring Princess Leonore doing whatever TF she wants.

At her brother, Nicholas’ christening in October, Princess Madeleine and Chris O’Neill’s firstborn danced along to the rhythm of a beautiful, christening-appropriate musical arrangement, binky in mouth.

Michelle Obama has become America’s latest national treasure, for she has divulged secrets of the royal family that her predecessors would have shrugged off as non-newsworthy soundbites.

The First Lady and Prince Harry gave a join interview to Good Morning America‘s Robin Roberts from Orlando, Florida, where the second annual Invictus Games are underway. [Read more…]

King Carl XVI Gustaf’s 70th Birthday: Tiaras! Babies! Ball Gowns!

First off, the award for MVP goes to Princess Sofia, who only gave birth to her and Prince Carl Philip’s first child, Prince Alexander, on April 19th.

Sofia could have easily stayed home with her newborn son, but instead she was a trooper and joined her family for a Te Deum thanksgiving service in the Royal Chapel for her father-in-law, King Carl XVI Gustaf’s 70th birthday yesterday.

Today, Kensington Palace released four new photos of Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana ahead of her May 2nd birthday, on which she turns one.

The sparette was photographed by her mother, the Duchess of Cambridge, posing regally at her family’s Anmer Hall home.

Prince George Bids Obama Goodnight, Thanks Him For Popping By Kensington Palace

Tonight, Nanny Maria allowed the President of the United States of America to have an audience with Prince George of Cambridge.

Though it was past her charge’s bedtime, Maria granted Mr. President 20 minutes with the heir to the British throne (Cameron usually gets zero).

And so, pleasantries were exchanged.  Prince George thanked Obama for the rocking horse he and Michelle sent over when he was born, even mounting it to show how much joy he gets out of the stationary object.

Mia Tindall Went Off-Script, Grabbed Queen’s Handbag For Photo

Prince George may have stolen the show yesterday, but today it was Princess Anne’s granddaughter, Mia Tindall, who had everyone asking, “Who’s the toddler holding Her Majesty’s purse?”

Annie Leibovitz shot a photo of the Queen with two of her youngest grandchildren – Lady Louise Windsor and James, Viscount Severn – and five great-grandchildren.

While Princess Charlotte sat on the monarch’s lap, 2-year-old Tindall looked quite pleased with herself as she held great-granny’s $1400 Launer purse.

A royal source present at the shoot told the Daily Mail that Tindall’s move was unscripted.

“The moment with Mia was completely spontaneous, it was not staged at all. She just picked up her great-granny’s handbag and that was it,” the source said.

The Queen Turns 90, Makes Great-Grandkid Mia Tindall Useful In Adorable Photo

The whole point of having children, and then grandchildren (followed by great-grandchildren), is to force them to do sensible things, like carrying heavy packages, and holding your purse during a very important photoshoot.

This is what Her Majesty had Mia Tindall, 2, do for what could be the year’s most famous photo (it’s tied for first with this gem).

“One is doing the Lord’s work. Plus, I was told there’s gum in here.”
