Last Friday’s premiere of “Emily in Paris” on Netflix might have been nothing like Kate’s royal trip to the city of lights in 2017 (for one, I don’t think Patricia Fields, the show’s costume designer, edited HRH’s wardrobe).
And yet, here I am flipping through a few of Kate’s looks and thinking how, like any woman, excited she must have been to wear Chanel while carrying Chanel in the city where Chanel made Chanel.
Most of us, if we’re lucky, get to wear a pair of Chanel sunglasses while looking at a photo of the city where Chanel made Chanel.
And while the Duchess of Cambridge did pack her requisite interlocking Cs for the trip, she made sure to include her reliable threads, specifically Jenny Packham and Alexander McQueen, for the evening reception at the British embassy.
Fairy princess outfit change alert!
