For the first time in over six months, a royal event took place at Buckingham Palace. On behalf of the Queen, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge greeted with President Volodymyr Zelensky and his wife, Olena in the palace’s Throne Room.
Even though no face masks were worn, according to the Sun no hands were shaken and each couple kept their distance.

Though it’s not confirmed, Kate’s Closet believes that Her Royal Highness wore a dress by Emilia Wickstead, as the style is similar to those she’s worn in the past. The fabric and color is strikingly similar to one of my favorite coats Kate wore during a 2019 tour of Northern Ireland, a Mulberry cape number that screams “Mary Poppins, huzzah!”
I love a good cape.
Kate also wore part of what is believed to be part of the Princess of Wales’ blue sapphire parure as a necklace and earrings; she’s worn these pieces in the past (on her first visit to Los Angeles in 2011, for example).
Are you pleased to see royal engagements — with proper protocols in place — happening?
