Today, Kensington Palace made an unprecedented move and invited a media outlet into its offices.
The Duchess of Cambridge took over as guest editor of Huffington Post UK to launch #YoungMindsMatter, an initiative to bring awareness to children’s mental health.
It was announced that Her Royal Highness would become patron of The Anna Freud Centre, an organization that works to reduce the burden of mental health difficulties of children and young people.
“Many children have to deal with complex problems without emotional resilience, language or confidence to ask for help,” Catherine wrote in a piece published on the site.
“Like most parents today, William and I would not hesitate to seek help for our children if they needed it.
“We hope to encourage George and Charlotte to speak about their feelings, and to give them the tools and sensitivity to be supportive peers to their friends as they get older.
“We know there is no shame in a young child struggling with their emotions or suffering from a mental illness.”
According to Kate’s Closet, Catherine paired Reiss’ “Vinnie” high-neck blouse with a boucle wool-blend skirt by Dolce & Gabbana.
HRH accessorized with Annoushka drop pearls on Kiki McDonough gold and diamond hoops.
Next week, Catherine has engagements in Edinburgh, Scotland, one of which will see her take part in a tennis clinic with Andy Murray’s mother, Judy, according to The Sun‘s Emily Andrews.
