After the Duke of Edinburgh paid a visit to National Lobster Hatchery, it was announced that his great-grandson, Prince George is now forever linked with a baby lobster that is somewhere off the coast of Cornwall, according to USA Today.
“Prince George has adopted a lobster! The responsibility for the crustacean follows his great-grandfather’s visit a hatchery in Cornwall,” The National Lobster Hatchery posted on their Facebook page.
“We are delighted to hear (via Buckingham Palace I may add!) that not only did HRH Prince Philip very much enjoy his visit to the hatchery, but also that little Prince George’s ‘Adopt a Lobster’ certificate has been received by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.”
Meanwhile, the heir made the front page of New Zealand’s Woman’s Day, kicking around a ball in cargo shorts and a crab-patterned sweater (conflict of interest!).
