Watching live CTV coverage of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s arrival in Victoria, Canada was exciting AF.
Sure, it was a little less exciting than their inaugural visit back in 2011, when the newlyweds – nay – everyone was basking in a post-royal wedding glow.

And so, just as it was in April 2014, the world waited for royal children to step off the plane and make their way down to the tarmac.

True to form, Prince George looked as though he not only didn’t know where he was, but he did didn’t care.

As William held the prince’s hand, George caught sight of a helicopter off in the distance, and his attention was nearly lost for good.

Thankfully, children have the attention span of a fruit fly, so we were able to regain focus and give half-hearted waves to a cheering crowd.
I love how over it this kid is.

King George VI commissioned Asprey to make the brooch for Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother ahead of their 1939 Canadian tour, according to The Court Jeweller.

Catherine paired the brooch with tanzanite earrings, which she first wore to the 2015 Service of Commemoration for troops who were stationed in Afghanistan.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife, Sophie were at the airport to greet the Cambridges.

William and Catherine took the kid to Government House (in a van. I KNOW.) before attending the Official Welcome Ceremony at the British Columbia Legislature.
There, William inspected troops, stopping to chat with a few soldiers, and gave a speech thanking Canada for their great hospitality (with a few bits in French).

When Premier of British Columbia Christy Clark spoke, she mentioned that the city of Victoria was named after William’s great-great-great-great grandmother.
As Clark rattled over the number of “greats,” William jokingly counted on his hand to confirm.
