Was Grace Kelly Really That Much More Stylish Than Kate Middleton?

As far as royal brides go, the Duchess of Cambridge is top of the pops in my book.  However, Conde Nast Brides readers decided that Grace Kelly, who married Prince Rainier of Monaco in 1956, outshone the former Catherine Middleton enough to take the top spot.

Fine.  OK.  Both ladies wore a similar design of lace and satin, though Catherine chose Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, while Princess Grace wore a creation by MGM costumer Helen Rose.  I found Grace’s design to be too severe, while Catherine’s dress just seemed to open up like the flower it was meant to “emulate.” [Read more…]

Cressida Bonas is Sexing Up Her Look, And it’s Working

Ah, Cressida Bonas.  So young, so sprightly, so full of bohemian spirit is she that a scrunchie serves as the accessory for theater-going.

While Bonas has become famous for looking like an unmade bed, her recent outings prove that the girl might be cleaning things up a little bit (a little, not a lot).

The papers are going mad with talk of a rekindled romance between Bonas and Prince Harry, after it was reported that they split back in April.  According to the Daily Mail and other outlets, the lovebirds caught a showing of Sex Tape at the Kensington Odeon before going their separate ways (he in his chauffeured car, she in taxi), and by separate ways I mean diversionary tactic to put busy bodies off their scent, and meet back at KP. A Few Favorites: Kate Middleton’s 2013 Maternity Looks

As it was in December 2012, so it is now.  The Duchess of Cambridge has been struck with acute morning sickness, which forced her to sit out the first few days of the Invictus Games (from the stands, not the field), and the palace may well cancel her scheduled visit to Malta.

What does this mean for the rest of us, aside from wishing Kate a pregnancy free from severe illness?  Why, throw a throwback feast for the eyes, that’s what!
