Bless this face, for we have missed it.
For the past three months, Prince Harry has been working with African conservationists and allegedly reigniting a flame with ex-girlfriend, Chelsy Davy (I approve), but now he is back on British soil and encouraging kids to get out and play some rugby.
Ahead of the Rugby World Cup, which begins on September 18th in London, the video (filmed before Harry left for Africa, according to People) focuses on the game at a “grassroots” level.

Today, September 9th, is a very significant day for Her Majesty, who – at 5:30pm local time – will officially surpass her great-great grandmother, Queen Victoria as the longest-reigning monarch in British history.
The Telegraph clocks Victoria’s reign at “23,226 days, 16 hours and 23 minutes” or 63 years and seven months. Save for an engagement (the Queen will visit Edinburgh, Midlothian and Tweedbank for the Scottish Borders Railway opening celebrations), Elizabeth II will mark September 9th privately at Balmoral, according to reports.
The Daily Mail‘s Sebastian Shakespeare claims that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will join Her Majesty on September 9th for a “private dinner.” [Read more…]
Everyone gather round! Something splendid is about to happen and you must pay attention.
As of tomorrow, the Queen will have surpassed Queen Victoria as the longest-reigning British monarch in history, a milestone that Her Majesty won’t be celebrating with a victory lap, but it’s a remarkable achievement nonetheless.
Imagine if the Queen looked back on photos during her reign? What memories would come to mind? What has been blocked out (aside from the Windsor fire and three out of her four kids getting a divorce)?
Let’s see, shall we? [Read more…]

When then-Princess Elizabeth married Prince Philip in November 1947, the couple’s wedding cake stood 9 feet tall and consisted of four tiers. According to the BBC, it was dubbed the “10,000 mile cake” because its ingredients were flown to England from South Africa and Australia. [Read more…]
Was it really almost two years ago that we gave a right royal “hello!” to Prince George?
1. “Bilby! Bilby! Bilby! It’s coming back with us, yes? Have you told Lupo?”
Ooh, lookie here! Banana Republic has gone and designed a marvelous Crystal Collar necklace, made in the likeness of the $35 Zara piece the Duchess of Cambridge wore to the Royal Film Premiere of Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom.
Update 3/6/22: The Banana Republic necklace is sold out, but I found a similar piece on Etsy by seller LayaaliGems (with 5-star reviews).

On July 10th, the Daily Mail published yet another story criticizing Pippa and James Middleton, calling them “nearly royals” and questioning their usefulness to society.
What started Richard Kay‘s rant was the family christening photo taken by Mario Testino inside Sandringham, the Queen’s Norfolk estate. Kay pointed out that the Cambridges have, for a second time, foregone the tradition of a photo with godparents only in favor of including the Duchess of Cambridge‘s family. It’s a move that shouldn’t come as surprise to anyone, given how close William is to the Middletons. [Read more…]
If there is anyone who can say whatever he wants without the need for an apology, it’s the Duke of Edinburgh. The man has earned his right to tell you when you’re dragging your feet.
Famous for his “gaffes,” Prince Philip, 94, has long been criticized for saying exactly what’s on his mind, regardless of whether or not it offends his company. In fact, royal reporter Phil Dampier put together a delightful book of Philip’s zingers. Philip is hilariously irreverent, and very smart, to boot.
Let’s not forget that this guy was born into a broken family, shipped off to different royal relatives around Europe and never once publicly complained. He has served as a Naval officer, was a total dish in his day, and has always, always respected his wife. [Read more…]
Today Nicky Hilton looked like a royal bride. Wearing a custom-designed Valentino gown and a veil that got caught in the tire of a Bentley, Hilton married married British banking heir James Rothschild at The Orangery at Kensington Palace.
Nicky, whom DListed refers to as “the child of Rick and Kathy Hilton who makes them question their poor parenting choices the least,” left Claridge’s with her family for the black tie affair, attended by Chelsea Clinton, Thomas van Straubenzee and the Crown Prince and Princess of Greece.
Rothschild’s family is reportedly worth over $18 billion, while the bride’s family has over $2 billion, according to Page Six. He and Hilton met at Formula One heiress Petra Ecclestone‘s 2011 wedding, attended by her family, David Arquette, the Duchess of York, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
This is Nicky’s second marriage. In 2004, she tied the knot with money manager Todd Meister at 2:30am in Las Vegas, surrounded by level-headed loved ones, including Paris, Tara Reid, Kimberly Stewart, Bijou Phillips and Lindsay Lohan. Nicky annulled the marriage three months later.
