On day 2 of China’s State Visit, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcomed President Xi Jinping and First Lady Peng Liyuan to Lancaster House, where a showcase highlighting creative ties between the two countries awaited them.

With every state visit made to the UK, a white tie banquet is part of the itinerary. As the final touches are put on everything from the distance between plates to the color of each floral bouquet, Her Majesty comes in to approve the staff’s work before putting on her jewelry and welcoming her official guests.

Just as they did at the 2012 Olympics, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry attended the opening ceremony of the 2015 Rugby World Cup last night.
Catherine and William were all smiles and laughing during the festivities, which included the first game of the cup, England vs Fiji.
After four months of maternity leave (save for a July 26th visit to Portsmouth with the Duke of Cambridge), the Duchess of Cambridge visited the Anna Freud Centre in London, where she learned about how the charity is working to improve young people’s mental health care.
Freud, the sixth child of Sigmund Freud, founded the center in 1952. Today, Catherine toured the the King’s Cross site for the charity’s planned Community Campus.

Hurrah! After taking the summer off to tend to the little ones, the Duchess of Cambridge is ready for her close-up.
Today, Catherine and Prince William joined Prince Charles for Sunday prayers at Crathie Kirk, on the property of Balmoral Castle. Catherine wore her burgundy Hobbs coat, according to What Kate Wore, an item that made its first appearance in February 2012
The Cambridge family are on holiday up in Scotland, and dined with the Queen when she broke a record on September 9th, becoming the longest-reigning monarch in British history. [Read more…]

With the dog days of summer winding down, and autumn ready and willing to play a cruel trick on us (I assume), it’s high time we looked to the former Kate Middleton to learn how best to spend what remains of the summer of 2015.
